Job Description

Functional / Technical (Core activities) :
1. Receiving and maintaining drawing, DCRs, specifications & other input documents

2. Specification Study & Preparation of Planning document (QAP, QC Procedure, CTQ, etc.) and ICL

3. Use of Conventional & Advance metrology instruments

4. Receipt inspection of Incoming Materials & Document Verification

5. Perform Inspection at Vendor’s place

6. Perform Material identification, In-process, painting & final inspection and checks related to Operation & Maintenance Accessibility (OMA)

7. Control & Processing of Non Conformity Report (NCR)

8. Final Documentation Preparation & Submission

9. Perform inspection with customer representative

System / Internal Process Improvement :
1. Maintaining & Calibration of Inspection Instruments

2. Implementation of energy conservation or safety initiative.

3. Provide QC coverage to Shop, SCG & PMG

4. Ensure effective implementation of all inspection procedures.

5. Storage & maintaining of Documents & Records as per Quality Manual

6. Identify opportunities available for process improvement and implement them in coordination with respective department

7. Plan / Attend Meeting with team members

8. Identify and buy energy efficient tools & equipment.

9. Preparation of DPP reports & RCA, if any

10. Set objectives and perform mid-term review & submit final achievement data for self

People / Team / Safety:
1. Follow safety measures for making safe work environment and identify & report RSC, if any

2. Plan / Attend Tool Box Talk

3. Participate in Safety Mock-drill & other events

Learning & Growth:
1. Identify training needs and groom self to grow further and develop core knowledge.

2. Attend training/awareness sessions on Various technical/other topics

3. Participate in Department meeting / get together / other organizational events with team members and involve in creative team building activities.

Initiatives Digitalization:
1. Participate in departmental initiatives such as use of Power BI

2. Identify & apply advance metrology instrument on job to improve accuracy, reduce effort & cycle-time and enhance safe working environment.

Operational Excellence:
1. Participation in Internal Initiatives: TQM/WMS/TPM/Manthan/Unnati etc.

2. Participation in External Initiatives: QCFI/FICCI etc. (Optionally on nomination basis)

Interaction with Stakeholders:
1. Coordinating with SCG, Shop, Design, PMG, Vendor QC regarding Observations, if any during inspection

2. Co-ordination with customer
