Technical program management for one or more vehicle lines by being the key point of contact between the design team and all other functional areas such as vehicle program management, engineering departments and manufacturing.
Responsible for ensuring that the systems meet all functional and performance requirements while meeting cost, weight, investment, timing, and quality objectives.
Lead system responsibilities at any point from the initial concept phase through end of life. Provide strong support of concept studies, initial packaging, thermal system design, cost and weight analysis, prototype procurement, supplier management, sourcing, tooling kickoff, validation, launch, program maintenance, change management, value optimization, and quality improvement initiatives.
Coordinate technical issue resolution pertaining to engineering and quality at all stages of the program and across all functional areas.
Must support plant development and launch activities onsite as a visible member of the launch team representing respective function.
During the launch phase, the SSTL is the launch lead and key person responsible for triage and resolution of issues, while communicating status and managing resources.
Ensure, during the vehicle development and maintenance phase, the electronic integration of all ECUs in the E/E architectures.
Define, share and update the vehicle development plan in order to guarantee the coherency of the vehicle behavior and the availability of the planned features at all stages.
Release the Specification to all Suppliers and manage the Requirements Change Management process through Design Change Requests (DCR) in order to ensure the alignment of Requirements with Product Planning requests, bug fixes and feedback from Suppliers,
Author PROXI/Vehicle Configuration requirements and data in End of Line (EOL)/Service tools in order to ensure correct vehicle configuration during both assembly process and service operations at dealers.
Support Manufacturing/Product Execution in defining the correct assembly and test operations to guarantee the vehicle conformity to client’s expectations and to conduct problem
