Job description
Ensuring the highest levels of customer focus and collaborative working for incidents and problems that are presented and escalated, as well as when necessary, being the first point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization’s IT infrastructure (whether locally at the Helpdesk or remotely).
Utilize excellent customer service skills and ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of trouble tickets as you grow your knowledge of IT procedures, products, and services.
Apply systematic problem-solving skills to define issues, identify root causes, develop, qualify, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner. Responsible for component BOM analysis
Provide recommendation on obsolete and sole source parts by understanding the component usage.
Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of ICTS infrastructure.
Identifying and solving any problems that arise with the ICTS infrastructure.
Ensure the Availability, Reliability, Physical and logical security, and quality of all ICTS infrastructure services.
Review existing and emerging ICTS requirements, conduct market research and due diligence to identify and commission appropriate products and services.
Assist in the development of ICTS policies in consultation with the manager. deployment, monitoring, management of the ICTS infrastructure.
Monitor ICTS infrastructure’s capacity, performance levels and report upgrade requirements and improvements on time.
Maintain accurate documentation of all core ICTS infrastructure including cloud services.
Be ready to provide support to students and non-academic departments as and when requested and approved by the Head – ICTS.
Provide support to level 2 & 3 level technical support as a key escalation point for ICTS infrastructure
