Job Description:
Plan, organize and direct overall process and in-house project activities in the plant to ensure that the desired production levels are achieved and quality of the product is maintained within the budgeted cost and time. Ensure safety, environment and legal compliances are met.

Quality

• Evaluate and approve the process parameters to produce fibre as per customer’s quality requirement
• Review and approve raw material quality standards
• Ensure SOPs are developed, implemented and followed at shop floor for all the process functions
• Ensure that systems are in place for minimum deviations in parameters and that timely decisions are taken to arrest deviations
• Ensure action plans for required improvements in production and quality are implemented within a decided time frame
• Ensure quality checks are done regularly as per norms
• Ensure material is being dispatched according to customer sensitivity
• Implement World Class Manufacturing standards for the department and plan initiatives to support the SMART Factory objectives
• Ensure implementation of TQM, 5S and Kaizen
• Approve all notifications generated in SAP PM module for department

Reliability

• • Ensure maintenance schedules are in place and followed
• Ensure RCA for all breakdowns is done and action plan is implemented

Manufacturing Excellence

• Review systems and frameworks for manufacturing excellence aligning with business objectives
• Ensure implementation of data analysis methodologies

Safety

• Coordinate with safety team to develop site specific procedure in line with business safety standards for process operations
• Implement rolled out safety standards within the department
• Review requirements for special safety related equipment and ensure those are made available in time

Cost

• Prepare annual budget (Revenue & CAPEX) for cost of production
• Ensure all consumption ratios are achieved as per PNB
• Design and drive projects for cost reduction for process operations
• Monitor monthly operations expenses with respect to the budgeted amount and take actions to reduce variants to optimize cost
• Plan to optimize inventory management to reduce cost due to extra material

Manpower Management

• Ensure proper manpower planning of technicians and contractual manpower for critical jobs. Evaluate and approve monthly shift calendar for shift engineers
• Competency mapping to develop skill matrix for the department, in coordination with HR department

Inventory Management

• Coordinate with vendors of raw material to ensure regular supply
• Explore vendors and OEMs for material and have technical discussions with them to develop vendor network

Legal Compliances

• Facilitate periodic safety and environmental audits
• Ensure that the compliances are being followed

Qualifications:
Bachelor Of Engineering

Minimum Experience Level:
15-17 Years
