Job Description:
Essential: Area: – Pre-processing & Co-Processing
Accountability:
To pre-process all the waste materials suitably considering all the SOPs and prepare a uniform blend as per agreed norms for feeding.
Arrange for shredding and blending of waste materials to achieve targeted standard deviation.
Ensure enough quantity of pre-processed waste materials are in stock.
Ensure no unprocessed waste materials are fed.
Arrange availability of blended AFR as per agreed norms and quantity.
Maintain stockpile as per safety and environmental norms.
Conduct screening tests of waste materials and determine compatibility based on SOP.
Implement AFR QC Plan.
Accountability:
To organize sample collection, testing of samples and preservation of samples upto the stipulated period; interpret the test results and co-ordinate for appropriate actions based on the same enabling smooth AFR operation.
Implement AFR QC plan by organizing all related activities.
Send test reports to AFR Cell/Material/Accounts on time and ensure that the invoices are not delayed due to unavailability of test reports.
Preserve samples for re-verification by customers & as per SOP.
Conduct testing at AFR Lab or organize testing at advanced labs located at other group Units.
Interpret the test results and decide suitable actions.
Co-ordinate with all the concerned persons to implement actions based on test results for smooth feeding of AFR.
Handling and Storage of Waste Materials.
Accountability:
To organize unloading and storage of materials as per SOPs and ensure there is no damage to people, property and environment
To collect and provide inputs to marketing team for preparing despatch plan of various waste materials.
To co-ordinate with Materials Deptt. and arrange purchasing of approved non-hazardous waste materials.
Ensure materials are received from approved parties as per the plan given by sales team.
Verify and check correctness of all pollution control board related documentation in each vehicle like hazardous waste manifests (where applicable), suitability of vehicles for haz. Waste transportation and Trem cards.
Arrange sampling and conduct testing as per SOP and acceptability of materials after consulting superiors and all other relevant persons.
If material is to be rejected, follow all the procedures prescribed by pollution control board and inform them and waste generators/sales team in writing with test reports.
Arrange unloading of waste materials at designated space and as per SOP.
Ensure PPEs are used by workers.
Maintain storage space as per CPCB guidelines and SOP.
Take suitable action to mitigate and minimize impact in case of any incident/accident.
Store incompatible waste materials appropriately so that there are no incidents.
Ensure that the FMCG waste are not pilfered/consumed by anybody and the material is stored/handled under security.
Training to Workers on AFR activities
Accountability:
To train workers for handling of various waste materials in safe manner as per SOP and ensure PPEs are used compulsorily in a correct manner.
Read and augment various AFR SOPs for implementation at plant level.
Arrange to procure related PPEs and other devices.
Maintain sufficient stock of PPEs.
Conduct classroom and on-the –job training for workers.
Implement SOPs and monitor compliance.
Take necessary corrective and preventive actions to avoid any untoward incidents.
Professional Experience description:
Plan, Co-ordinate and Direct supervision of day-to-day activities & Equipment
Manpower planning & Resource utilization to meet daily maintenance requirement
Making preventive maintenance schedule and its execution
On job training to front line working crew for Safe and Quality working, Spare Management for day-to-day requirement
Proficiency in Computers and knowledge of SAP is a must
To know how of all safety standards related to AFR and its compliance, at site
Responsible to reduce unplanned stoppages due to CO and to avoid frequent Jamming of Belt Conveyor

KRA 1: Accountability: Plant availability: Business Delivery – To ensure availability of AFR equipment as per Budget and to attend maintenance. Planning & Schedule receipt Materials to meet target TSR% = 16% RC4, 8% RC3″ Maintain the feed mix Net Calorific value >3000 cal/gm
KRA 2: Cost Control: Control cost of all the maintenance activities of AFR Section as per the Budget in order to optimize the maintenance costs
KRA 3: System implementation: The system requirements ISO, EMS, OHSAS, SA 8000 and WCM systems in AFR through the involvement of employees for improving plant working and quality standard
KRA 4: Environment and Safety: monitor and carryout all the activities required to maintain good housekeeping and safety standards of section
KRA 5: WCM: Participation in improvements and submission of kaizen idea sheets, participation in daily self-maintenance participation in Mega cleaning / GRT events, Development of Model Areas, 5S Audit Score as per WCM methodology as applicable, GRT Audits score of the area.
Critical Job competencies / Mandatory Skills:
Skill required for Pre & Co-processing circuit
Skill required for Hazardous waste handling and compliance of legal and statutory norms
Skill required for Inspection and maintenance of AFR equipments
Skill required for Belt Conveyor inspection and maintenance
Sampling and analysis with existing QC Lab with available limited parameters FPA
Collect composite samples monthly and send other sister concerned labs for CA Analysis as per legal requirement
Unloading the AFR in the designated locations, Storage as per the CPCB storage guidelines.
Fire Prevention: To mitigate the fire risk, maintain stock of waste at storage location. Implement first come first consume method
Professional Qualifications: M.Sc. Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
