Description

• Tool Engineer will be responsible for Implementation of New Tool and Fixtures for the NPI and NSI, also act as a key contributor for deploying the Production Tool Request for Paint Shop and Assembly facility.
• Develop and Implement Assembly Fixtures, Gauge Design, Material Handling Equipment and Lifting Tackle for BCP Paint facility in line with CPS standard.
• Plan, Perform the Design activities for the New Tool request and Analyze with Pro-Mechanica Tool before the Implementation
• This Job role requires to collaboratively work with various cross functional team to achieve the Customer Expectation and Cost Target
• Good functional Knowledge in 3D Modelling Tool like CREO and Technical knowledge in Tool and Fixture design
• Analyze tooling failures and evaluate tool characteristics and requirements Virtually and Physical validation.
• Provide a Guidance to the Tool Room operator by delivering the 2D Drawing for Manufacturing and Work together with Indirect Purchase for the Procurement of standard Tools.
• Good Knowledge in implementation of Hand Tools like Torque Wrench and other standard tools for desired application
• Good knowledge on global Industry standards (DIN, EN standards, etc.,) and approval practices.
• Good Knowledge in GD&T standards and Engineering Basics
• Evaluate projects and prepare feasibility studies to define desired results, assess value proposition and determine project plans.

Basic Qualifications

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a well reputed University/College

4 – 7 years of relevant professional experience

Demonstrates very good communication skills.

A penchant for innovation, above average initiative, people development, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum of 3 Year of Tool Room Management Experience

Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills Desired Qualifications Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to work with a diverse group of employees and customers.
