We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our Chennai site in India to support and enhance the IT Infrastructure and meet the site’s ongoing IT needs.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or related subject, a good knowledge of computers and networks, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsibility for the IT Helpdesk system, meeting agreed performance criteria and delivering KPI data to target.
Delivering hardware and software setup to agreed standards and functionality.
Ensuring our data backup policies are met.
Responsibility for the site infrastructure robustness and ensuring security is maintained through correct maintenance at all levels.
Ensuring the ERP system is performing as required by the site user group.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
Degree in Computer Science or related subject would be preferred.
Good knowledge of computers and computer networks.
Familiarity with computer structure and networking.
Ability to analyse and trouble shoot PC & Printers issues – Windows & Mac.
Excellent communication skills.
Familiarity and understanding of Windows Server, Windows 10/11, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Previous ERP system experience, both usage and supporting.
Mobile operating system knowledge.
Knowledge of multimedia systems and tools would be advantageous.
