GST Tax Compliance – Accounts Payable

Your key responsibilities
responsibilities of this role include:
Ensuring on time and correct delivery of compliances under GST
Calculating correct Input Tax Credit and Reverse Charge Liability for payments done through Accounts Payable Team
Ensuring correct data and process risk management for smooth functioning and control
Ensuring GL reconciliation of the various Taxes involved and advise entries within the requisite timelines
Yearend closing activities and MIS
On time and correct delivery of Data, documents, justification for various Audits, Notices, Departmental queries and assessments after review from Group Tax
Update on the changes in law, amendments, notifications, circulars and assess requirement related to the bank and its subsidiaries; build all probable scenarios for changes required on the process.
Implementation of the changes of law in the system, UAT, resolution for issues for successful implementation with turnaround time
Liaison with Group Tax for issues and challenges that may come up time to time
Process enhancement, tax strategy and continuous assessment of risk for cost optimization and to achieve lean, better compliant and risk-free process
Working in and manage a Team of 4-5 people
Stakeholder management: Work with multiple and diverse internal and external stakeholders like Processing, Requestors, Finance, Operations, Auditors, Group Tax etc. in achievement of the organization’s objectives through standard, proactive communication, and documentation
Keeping the process document updated for Standard Operating Procedure
Working on any related requirement which may come up time to time
Owning and being responsible for the process and the Team
Your skills and experience
Strong understanding of GST Laws & Rules
Independent self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and challenging priorities
Good analytical and effective verbal and written communication and documentation skills with ability to influence and interact with all levels of the organization
Advanced Excel & Power Point Presentation skills
Technical and analytical skills
Strong Team player
