Job Summary:
The person will be involved as a part of the CTC Cash Application team to perform day-to-day Accounts receivable receipts accounting for India & SEA regions. The incumbent will be responsible to manage and participate in monthly closing activities, Audits & MIS reporting for all operational and finance related activities. The role will cover activities for cash receipt recording, application of funds, reversal, and activities related to Order to Cash-Cash application. We are looking for individual enthusiast in CTC – CashApp vertical backend support function for managing day to day business activities in ERP preferably SAP.
Context:
The Corporate Credit to Cash Department manages the second largest asset of The Walt Disney Company: its accounts receivable through its global organization. The mission of the department is to assist with maximizing sales and cash flow through the superior management of the accounts receivable using sound credit approval and effective collection strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform timely and accurate cash application of receipts received via wire transfer ACH(Automated clearing house) & Cheque as per agreed timeline.
Timely review and tracking of Bank ‘s statement and coordination with C2C-Collection and respective stake holders.
Understanding of GST & WHT (withholding tax) taxes and accounting
Ability to collaborate with business partners and stake holders including Treasury & controllership, auditors, Tax & legal.
Should be able to analyse reports and reconcile funds for different business verticals, companies, and regions.
Identify processing exceptions that inhibit application efficiencies and recommend solutions.
Adhere to regulatory & compliance initiatives.
Monitoring & supervising various hygiene areas like KPI, TAT, SLAs, resolutions, approvals, etc.
Process improvements, automation & Special assignments
Detailed knowledge of WHT and foreign exchange laws will be preferred.
Qualifications:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, Tax, Finance or Economics
Post-Graduation an added advantage
Minimum 5 year of experience, preferably in Media industry
Excellent computer skills & proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
Knowledge of SAP, ERP, legacy system preferred.
Good understanding of accounting standards & Taxes
