Job Characteristics:Responsible for a variety of tasks including batch scheduling/processing, monitoring CPU resources, supporting hardware within the Data Center facility, providing service desk support for Mainframe, Unix, and AS400, and provide tools, as well as providing tools, process and expertise enabling application development teams to achieve batch processing objectives and to navigate application code within Development, Stage/QA, & Production environments. Competent in most phases of production control. Creates and modifies production procedures and standards. Runs, restarts and schedules priorities of new production control systems. Develops and maintains overall knowledge of users needs. May be responsible to use analytical skills to determine problems and repair systems. On call 24 hours/day for problem determination and resolution. Specializations in this family includes (but are not limited to): Network, Print Services, Production Control, Data Center.
Education/Work Experience:Degree in technical area and four to six years of experience.
Independence Level/Reports to:General direction. Errors can cause substantial delay, expense and inefficiency. Normally reports to IS Manager.
