Responsibilities:
Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
Forecasts financial results within a broad scope.
Leads business initiatives, typically leading analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
Represents the business unit during cross-regional or cross- functional planning processes.
Provides mentoring and guidance to analysts.
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CA, CPA, MBA) preferred.
Typically 4+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
Typically experienced in more than one finance function including taxation.
Strong knowledge of HP systems, including SAP ERP and various data flows
It’s an external facing role and will have a lot of work with consultants, ability to manage deliverables to stakeholders keeping timelines in mind
Expected to manage multiple stakeholders both internal and external. Should have demonstrated decision making capabilities in the prior roles
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area
IFRS and Ind AS awareness
Ability to analyse large sets of data, perform key reconciliations, solution oriented
Requirements under Corporate laws
Good knowledge of taxation laws both direct and indirect taxes. For instance, provisions and compliance requirements around TDS and TCS, various filings, multiple returns, dealing with notices etc..
Excellent analytical skills.
