The WSP Australian & New Zealand Signalling Group is an integrated team based in Bangalore, Australia and New Zealand. With over 90% of our project work based in New South Wales and Victoria our Signalling Groups are aligned to these regions. WSP Signalling Bangalore along with Queensland, Western Australia and New Zealand resources are fully integrated into either the New South Wales or Victorian teams. As a Signalling Associate(Discipline Lead) and Bangalore Signalling Team leader a dual role will be required, performing local leadership and also performing the role of a senior member integrated to either the New South Wales or Victorian Signalling Group.
As the team leader of the WSP Bangalore Signalling Group, the role is to perform line management duties for the Bangalore staff and work in partnership with the New South Wales and Victorian Technical Executives to undertake the following,
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain solid relationships with the New South Wales and Victorian teams to build, improve and train the group to meet current and future pipeline,
Through targeted recruitment increase the Bangalore signalling team to build the capacity and skill set of the New South Wales and Victorian signalling groups in line with set KPI’s,
Maintain and improve the current signalling group through mentorship and continuous improvement activities,
Undertake check and verification of detailed signalling design works,
Create and maintain solid relationships with the UK and Canadian WSP signalling teams based in Bangalore to ensure best practice is shared and adopted,
Additional Responsibilities
Bangalore Team Lead
Manage the team resources and liaise with the New South Wales and Victorian Technical Executives to provide appropriate resources for project requirements
Responsible for identifying development and training needs for team members
Undertake team individual performance appraisals
Oversee team competency requirements & assessments
Establish and nurture relationships with the signalling teams from other lead countries such as UK, Sweden and Canada to share best working practices and consider resource sharing.
Associate Signalling Engineer
To provide support in the production of proposals
Provide design, checker and verification roles for Australian and NZ projects
Undertake role of discipline team leader for particular projects
Acting as the specialism Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead Technical Advisor (TA) within the business and externally to clients and partners
To produce signalling specifications and other relevant documentation
To undertake and manage IDC checks associated with signalling design
Assist with internal and external audits
