About this Team:
We are a team that works independently with only administrative supervision. We have the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize when issues need to be escalated or when a senior peer needs to be consulted. We have the freedom to make independent judgments and provide guidance to others on the database staff. We effectively communicate with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.

What you will be doing:
Monitoring the CommVault 10 & 11 backup environment and resolving L3 issues

Reviewing backup infrastructure performance and suggesting capacity and tuning requirements

Providing support for any technical issues that may arise

Collaborating with various teams, both internally and with customers, to address support needs

Working with vendors to address technical issues and escalations

Collaborating with the project management team to implement new servers in the environment

Providing Disaster Recovery support for the backup environment

Completing backup and recovery, data migration, storage allocation, connectivity, and storage reporting requests

Possessing knowledge of backup tools, specifically Commvault

Working with senior peers to develop change management procedures

May require rotating 24×5 on-call support responsibility as well as weekend support

What you bring:
5+ years of experience in Backup technologies

Primary Skill: CommVault, Secondary Skill: NetBackup (Veeam can be trainable)

Awareness of ITIL framework and concepts

Excellent customer service skills

Willingness to work in a 24×7 environment, including rotational shifts

Ability to develop large and/or highly complex solutions that require analysis and research

Experience working as a project leader or technical leader/consultant on multiple projects

Ability to handle complex tasks, projects, or issues with a high degree of risk and impact on business unit performance
