Job summary

As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase with GT Enterprise Product Security team, you will be part of a highly motivated team laser-focused on analyzing, designing, developing and delivering solutions built to stop adversaries and strengthen our operations. You will share your expertise, thought leadership and overall guidance and support, both with your team and across all our business and technology groups. You will deploy best practices, implement new policies, and embrace emerging trends to strengthen our strategic roadmap.

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy Java/Python applications to DEV, Test and PROD environments
• Work with product owners to gather requirements, understand, design scalable and secure applications. Work in an agile environment and deliver features in 2 week sprint cycles
• Perform security validation, performance tuning and apply software engineering best practices. Support/maintain applications post-production deployment (Devops)
• Develop enterprise scale applications including RESTful/microservices using Java spring, spring boot, ORM, python, Oracle and noSQL database
• Automate deployment and infrastructure pipelines in both on-prem and public cloud environments
• Write unit/integration test cases for the application modules. Create Software documentation and operational run books

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 8+ years of applied experience working in Java: Spring, Spring boot frameworks or Python – Django, flask, boto3 etc.,
• 2+ years of applied experience developing and deploying applications in AWS – EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, eks, API gateway etc.,
• Hands on experience working on relational/NoSql databases, SQL and ORM technologies(JPA, hibernate etc.,)
• Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented concepts, analysis and design using common design patterns

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Java and AWS certification is a plus
