In this role, you will undertake the following duties:
Software Administration:–
Install, configure, and maintain the Aveva E3D software suite and its modules tailored to the specific needs of the oil and gas industry ( on Cloud / On Premise)
Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security settings to ensure data integrity and project confidentiality.
Technical Support:–
Provide technical support to engineering and design teams in utilizing Aveva E3D software effectively for project planning, equipment design, piping layout, and 3D modelling.
Troubleshoot software-related issues and coordinate with the IT department for more complex problem resolution.
Data Management and Integration:–
Develop and implement strategies for efficient data management, version control, and data exchange within the Aveva E3D environment and with other software platforms used in the oil and gas industry.
Ensure proper integration of E3D with engineering data systems, document management solutions, and project collaboration tools.
Oil & Gas Standards Compliance:–
Configure Aveva E3D settings to align with industry-specific standards, codes, and regulations, including ASME, API, ISO, and other relevant standards.
Ensure consistency in engineering practices and compliance with safety and quality guidelines.
Collaboration and Interface Management:
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process engineers, mechanical designers, structural engineers, and project managers to facilitate seamless information exchange and project coordination.
Manage interfaces between various engineering disciplines, ensuring accurate representation of equipment, piping, and structural components.
Training and Documentation:
Conduct training sessions for new and existing users to enhance their proficiency in Aveva E3D software usage and industry-specific workflows.
Create and maintain user guides, standard operating procedures, and best practice documentation.
Project Support and Troubleshooting:
Assist project teams in model reviews, clash detection, and interference resolution using Aveva E3D software tools.
Provide guidance in optimizing project workflows and addressing technical challenges.
Software Upgrades and Continuous Improvement:
Plan and execute software upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing projects.
Stay updated on industry trends and recommend software enhancements to improve project efficiency and accuracy.
Qualification/ Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field within the oil and gas sector.
Proven experience as an Aveva E3D Administrator, preferably in an oil and gas context.
Proficiency in E3D Supports Customization
Proficiency in E3D Report Customization
Proficiency in customization E3D to generate GA drawings and Isometrics based on project requirements.
Proficiency in E3D Clash Management
Aveva E3D Global Administration including setting up satellite databases, global communications, extracts etc
Knowledge in PML 1 & 2 programming.
Knowledge in other AVEVA applications (AVEVA Diagram & AVEVA Engineering) will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in configuring Aveva E3D software for oil and gas project requirements.
Solid understanding of oil and gas engineering design principles, equipment, and process workflows.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (ASME, API, ISO) relevant to the oil and gas sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to interact effectively with diverse project teams.
Relevant certifications in Aveva software administration and oil and gas engineering are desirable.
