Introduction:
Labcorp is looking to hire a writer with a strong clinical sciences background with an understanding of healthcare and how diagnostic testing is utilized, preferably across both diagnostics and drug development. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of clinical biochemistry and molecular/genetics technologies. The candidate should be comfortable with scientific complexity, be deeply interested in the utility of testing to screen, diagnose and treat conditions and diseases, and be curious about Labcorp’s physician and research customers’ needs and how they apply testing. They should have the ability to create compelling content that helps Labcorp communicate complex technical content to differentiate our science and services.
The senior writer will be skilled and versatile with at least 6-8 years of experience writing for medical/clinical audiences in either healthcare, pharmaceutical, biology, health technology, or any related biological sciences or health discipline. This role is responsible for working with the marketing team, business executives and clinical/scientific team on a range of projects including white papers, case studies, blogs, e-mail, websites and additional content types. This person must be a fast learner, a creative, visual writer with a passion for creating content for all channels and audiences, who is able to grasp and communicate complex subjects with clear, concise copy. Previous experience writing for clinical and scientific audiences in a similar role at a corporation, agency or as a journalist is necessary. Healthcare business insights would be an added bonus.
