The program involves teacher led delivery of life skills sessions in government upper primary and secondary schools (classes 6th to 10th) in all eleven districts of the state
Magic Bus India Foundation is providing technical assistance to the Department of School Education in effective implementation of the programme including developing training materials and curriculum on life skills, creating a pool of master trainers, strengthening capacities of teachers and mentoring and monitoring the programme through the existing system in the government
Job Brief: The District Support Officer will be responsible for the following

Ensuring effective implementation of the program in one’s designated district/s
2
Ensuring completion of all activities as per the program implementation plan agreed with the government
3
Participating in training activities including master trainers training and co facilitating teacher trainings with master trainers
4
Undertaking government liaison activities at cluster, block and district level
5
Coordinating regularly with the district education office towards ensuring regular monitoring, reporting and review of the program
Responsibilities: 1
Ensure effective implementation of the program on field
2
Participate in master trainers training program conducted by Magic Bus
3
Co-facilitate teacher trainings along with master trainers at the district level
4
Liaison and coordinate with the district education department for their guidance, permission/approvals as necessary and ensuring government engagement in various activities
5
Provide handholding and mentoring support to the school teachers in effective program delivery to the children in coordination with the district monitoring team/committee
6
Ensuring smooth coordination and communication with regards to the holistic development component of the project with the school authorities including strengthening SMCs and children’s platforms in schools
7
Supervise and support any community connect activities as might be undertaken as per the program implementation plan
8
Keeping oneself updated on all the developments in safety rules, regulation child rights and protection and ensuring its integration in programs 9
Facilitate/organize/participate in events, visits as required 10
Report monitoring visit in internal application Desired Competencies: 1
Relationship building with district government department

Relationship building and management with teachers and heads of school in the allocated field area 3
Collecting and maintaining data on the overall field intervention and reporting as required Qualification: ? Graduate in any stream
Graduate of the social sciences, rural development, etc
are preferred ? Minimum 3 years of work experience in the social sector ? Good communications and facilitation skills are required ? Must have solid ground/ field job experience ? Fluent in the local language
Additionally local dialect knowledge will be appreciated ? Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working with teachers, government departments particularly education department
