Who You’ll Work With
You’ll be based out of McKinsey’s Client Capability Network in Gurugram/Chennai/Bangalore in India as a part of the Life Sciences Practice.
We have major hubs in Waltham, New Jersey, Brazil, London, Brussels, Poland, Lisbon, India, Japan, and China.
What You’ll Do
You will focus on the operations domain within Healthcare, including cost-excellence, supply chain, procurement, manufacturing and quality.
You will be working with different client teams including senior McKinsey leadership (partners, associate partners) directly serving Healthcare clients (on-site) and helping them solve different problems within Operations domain including Cost-excellence, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality on long term engagements as well as short pieces.
You will be primarily responsible to deliver high quality work by independently managing a work stream on client engagements, managing own deliverables, or proposing additional relevant analytics and avenues of research. You will develop and deepen knowledge in your expertise area to serve our clients.
You will serve clients on your topics of expertise, along with carrying out diagnostics, preparing LOPs/proposals, developing repeatable assets/tools.
You will train and coach junior members of the team and help in team building activities.
Qualifications
- Motivated and flexible individual with high levels of research, analytical, and communication skills
- A graduate in Pharmacy / Biotech / Chemical Engineer / MBBS / BDS and post-graduation in business administration/pharmacy/chemical engineering along with Operations experience in the Healthcare industry
- Understanding of the healthcare industry, economic, financial, and general business concepts and terminology is essential
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication and quantitative skills
- Strong multi-tasking abilities
- Professional attitude and service orientation; team player
- Strong work ethic and “can do” attitude
- Highly inquisitive and creative individual who is excited about working in a cross-cultural environment
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic business tools
