Variant Coding Responsible
Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking Variant coding responsibles with a strong analytical skills and vehicle electronic systems knowledge to work in the areas of Camera, Parking Assistance & Driver Assistance Systems
Mercedes Benz Park Assistance System assists the driver comprehensively in the search for a parking space and can pilot the vehicle into and out of parallel and end-on parking spaces. The reversing camera and the Active Parking Assist PARKTRONIC help to reduce the risk of collisions with obstacles at the front, side and rear of the vehicle. The Parking Pilot can detect parallel and end-on parking spaces on the driver and front-passenger, assists and enables automatic parking with automatic steering and braking interventions.
Mercedes Benz Driver Assistance System Avoid accidents and mitigate their consequences: this is the integrated approach adopted by Mercedes-Benz Accident Research under the slogan “Real Life Safety”. Under the umbrella term “Intelligent Drive”, Mercedes-Benz is systematically pursuing this strategy with numerous new assistance systems, greatly enhanced functions and innovative protective systems. Stereo Multipurpose camera (SMPC) enables the Driver Assistance System in collision warning & mitigation, lane recognition, traffic sign recognition, object recognition for avoiding or mitigating crash .
Key Job Responsibilities:
Strong knowledge in Vehicle communication network (CAN/SAE/Flexray/LIN/KWP/MOST/UDS) and related protocols
Experience in handling OEM Diagnostic tools
Experience in diagnostic content authoring & Validation
Experience in vehicle testing & diagnostics of any system preferably Camera/USS related.
Thorough knowledge of automotive domain and ECUs (Electronic Control Unit)
Test specification design, test execution for Hardware-in-loop and In vehicle testing
Ability to learn & adapt to evolving tools / technologies
Experience in Vector tools such as CANdela, CANoe, CANdiva ,ODX Studio, ODX data and AUTOSAR is preferable
Good know how of automotive software lifecycle & quality process
Able to extract trace from vehicle and perform trace analysis for issue debugging.
Excellent communication skill and team player
Good knowledge on Boolean Algebra
Exposure to any of the programming language (Python, C# etc.) would be added advantage
Vehicle knowledge of Parken system with functions would be an added advantage.
Basic Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics Engineering
0-5 years of relevant experience; with experience in Automotive domain
Skills and Experience:
Automotive system engineering and software development experience
Knowledge of component or software development processes
Experience in dealing with colleagues from plant and suppliers
Exposure in one of the following areas – Park Assistant systems , Ultrasonic sensors, Camera Based assistance systems
S peaking skills in German language is highly desirable
Additional Skills:
Usage of tools – MS excel, Databases, project planning tools
Knowhow of control unit software development
Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in & contribute as a good team player
Exposure to multi-cultural environment; Germany working experience is an added advantage
Basic knowledge on German language is preferred
Vehicle driving skills is mandatory
