Job Description:
Engineer / Senior Engineer / Senior Tech Lead for – Acoustic Sensor Microphone Function Owner

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking Engineers with a strong system and vehicle electronic systems knowledge to work in the areas of Microphone component (Acoustic and speech recognition) and Driver/Driving Assistance systems.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for evaluating Microphone (Acoustic module and speech recognition (ASR)) function performance and recommending functional release.
• Testing Microphone (Acoustic module and speech recognition (ASR)) after integration in/outside of vehicle.
• Measure and analyze vehicle test reports(Bugs etc) from field, customer and vehicle tests and provide engineering solution
• Responsible for resolving On vehicle diagnostics issues
• Responsible for Base software release including Variant coding on vehicle
• Coordination with FuSi, Security, Hardware and system experts to derive Microphone (Acoustic module and speech recognition (ASR)) function performance recommendations.

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics Engineering or related engineering domain
• 2-9 years of overall experience

Key Skills and Experience:

• Strong driving skills
• Automotive system engineering and software development experience
• Knowledge of component or software development processes
• Experience in dealing with colleagues from plant and suppliers
• Exposure in one of the following areas – Microphone ( Acoustic module and speech recognition (ASR)), Microphone ( Acoustic module and speech recognition (ASR)) Functions, Microphone ( Acoustic module and speech recognition (ASR)) based driver assistance systems
• Speaking skills in German language is highly desirable

Tools:

• Measurement data analysis tools.
• NVDIA Hardware – Jenson- similar, Adruino, Rasberry Pi or similar
• AI tools /models
• ASR tools:NLP, RNN, LSTM, GRU, or similar
• Neural network: ANN, CNN,Open CV, Yolo model/ similar workspace
• Tools Libraries: Python, Numpy ,Pandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib, Scipy, Scikit-learn, Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch,spaCy,or similar

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced Driving Authorizations
• minimum 2 years in Automotive domain
• Expertise on Microphone ( Acoustic module and speech recognition (ASR)) testing
• Usage of tools – MS excel, Databases, project planning tools
• Knowhow of control unit software development
• Excellent skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player
• Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage.
