PayTabs Global Looking for Opportunity for Senior Platform Engineer ( Dev Ops) – 5-10 years at Chennai Full Time

The Senior Platform Engineer (SPE) manages the operation of PayTabs platforms and associated applications in a range of business portfolios. Responsibilities involve the daily troubleshooting and resolution of incidents, operational maintenance and support, application and environment change control, and proactive/preventative analysis of systems.Specialist skills• DevOps (CI/CD) – Maven(basic-optional), git (basics – required), ansible(required), SQL(MS SQL preferable),• Network Administration – Firewall management, network set up from scratch, Linux(Ubuntu preferable),nginx(mandate),SSL(mandate)• Security- PCI experience (preferable-optional), Linux Hardening (basic required)• Any monitoring and alerting tool including defining the Loki rules (Grafana, Loki stack ispreferable)• Strong knowledge of penetration testing & Vulnerability assessment.• Have good experience in bash scripting.• Implementation experience with security solutions such as: WAF, IPS, SIEM, LDP.• Good knowledge of PCI DSS standards.• Have knowledge of mobile applications security assessment.• Strong knowledge of internet standards and protocols including TCP/IP.Essential Functions• SPE performs systems operations and analysis across complex hosted environments including shared and clustered environments and provides consultation to other teams including, but not limited to, architecture, product development, product/project management.• SPE is also expected to establish automation and systems management tools that make it easier to scale rapidly growing businesses.• Conduct infrastructure security assessment.• Lead PCI DSS certification process in coordination with an external auditor.• Re-creation, analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnosis of the platform and/orapplication environment incidents.• Execution of application and/or platform changes, releases, and service requests in supported environments.• Execution of application environment tasks as required.• Liaise with appropriate teams for the development of preventive and corrective actions.• Responding to automated alerts on the health of systems.• Executing scheduled or unscheduled tasks relating to operational maintenance and monitoring of application environments.• Performing audits and analysis of application environments for the purpose of ensuring proper configuration management and consistency.• Identifying dependencies and prerequisites for the solution and validation of non-functional a ttributes of the application environment design.• Integrating new infrastructure services based on designs, and participating in automation,consolidation, and centralization projects.• Ensures all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures.Only a limited number of applicants will be called for initial interviews
