POST A RESUME Looking for Sql Server Database Administrator at Ahmedabad Full Time

We are seeking a skilled SQL Server database administrator (minimum 3 years of hands-on experience)The DBA position will be responsible for maintaining the companys database systems including back-up, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring critical events, and documentation. The position will be required to work on numerous projects at the same time, responding to various demands from different departments.

Responsibilities Overview

• Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the businesss Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
• Test backups to ensure we can meet the business Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
• Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
• Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms
• As new systems are brought in-house, choose whether to use clustering, log shipping, mirroring, Windows Azure, or other technologies
• Install and configure new SQL Servers
• Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors
• When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
• Document the companys database environment
• Create and manage multiple databases and assist in capacity planning.
• Monitor, maintain database systems and troubleshoot problems that may arise.
• Maintain data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users).
• Use tools like SQL Profiler for database tuning. Generate traces, execution plans,
• Identify performance issues, deadlocks/contention and resolve them.
• Develop strategies and implement solutions for managing back-ups, restoration and replication.
• Create and manage constraints and indexes.
• Support software developers with database projects including the development of
• Complex SQL, tuning of DML and the creation of stored procedures.
• Proactive housekeeping/archiving and shrinking of databases.
• Manage production, QA and development database environments.
• Learn relevant business processes and understand the data flow, criticality and
• Effectively coordinate and communicate with all the stakeholders (internal teams and clients).
• Set up and maintain database infrastructure for the companys BI needs.
