Assess and deliver procurement requirements for the business across network IT managed services infra facilities OSP support services etc provide pre sales bid support from procurement perspective vendor capability evaluation and selection of vendors set targets and price points Collect vendors quotations and examine bids Build procurement plans maintain strategic vendor relationships and conduct negotiations of procurement deals assess risk and develop mitigation strategies Assess and monitor suppliers products to ensure compliance with the organizations specifications and quality standards Operate with optimum inventory level manage storage and logistics movement of equipment material as required by the organization with speed and at optimal cost
Broad outline of the Role
Manages a team of procurement professionals and conducts team development activities Responsible for tracking vendor evaluation negotiation and selection and vendor issue resolutions Assist team members in preparation of RFP as per user teams requirements Interact rwith cross functional engg teams to pro actively gauge requirements Tactical role which provides a marked contribution to defining the direction of new products processes standards or operational plans based upon business strategy with a significant mid term impact on business unit overall results Identifies problems and significantly improves changes or adapts existing method and techniques Focus is on implementation and control rather than policy and strategy development May have involvement in regional segment projects may lead teams under overall supervision Education An engineer preferably also a business graduate Experience 8 10 years of experience in commercial procurement
