Job Description

A Software Tester is a crucial role within a software development team responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of software applications. This role involves designing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to ensure that the software meets the required standards and specifications. The Software Tester plays a critical role in delivering high-quality software products that meet user expectations.

Responsibilities :

Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to understand project requirements and define comprehensive test plans and strategies.

Create detailed and comprehensive test cases based on functional specifications, user stories, and software requirements. Define test objectives, scope, and acceptance criteria.

Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, validate functionality, and ensure software quality. Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing as required.

Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and prioritize software defects using issue-tracking tools. Clearly communicate defects to developers and work closely to ensure timely resolution.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using appropriate testing tools. Automate repetitive test cases to improve testing efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer, preferably in a software development environment.

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Proficiency in manual testing and experience with automation tools and frameworks

Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
